CHEM 1023 - General Chemistry 2
Properties of gases, liquids, solids, and solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibria, acids and bases, thermochemistry, entropy and free energy, electrochemistry, and organic chemistry. (3h lab).
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1013. Credit for laboratory component cannot be transferred to other Acadia courses with the exception of CHEM 1123.
Antirequisite(s): Credit can be obtained for only one of CHEM 1043, CHEM 1023, or CHEM 1123.

Modality: In-Person Learning (or Online with lab credit)
This course is listed as in-person because all Lab instruction takes place in an in-person setting only. Students who require lab credit have to complete the lab in-person. Lectures are available both in-person or online therefore, students who have already earned lab credit can complete this as an online course.

If you have never applied to Acadia, or if you have not taken a course in the last 12 months, you must apply by completing Acadia's Application Form*.
- The application fee is $40.
- You will register as a Part-time, Independent student.
- If you plan to take a course with us and transfer it back to your degree program at another institution, please provide a letter of permission from your home institution.
- If the course you intend to take has a prerequisite, please provide an official transcript of your previous studies to confirm you have met the prerequisite.
