Course Description

SOCI 2113 - Issues in Developing Societies

Current development issues confronting the peoples of the majority world are introduced. Topics may include: conventional and alternative models of societal development; imperialism; wealth creation and impoverishment; class, ethnic and gender dimensions of international development; forced migration and displacement; reform and revolution.

Prerequisite(s): 6h of 1000 level SOCI courses.
